Chelsea and Bournemouth, only three points apart in the Premier League, aim to build on their FA Cup victories as they meet at Stamford Bridge.

Maresca’s second-choice Chelsea team had a comfortable 5-0 win over Morecambe on Saturday, with Tosin Adarabioyo and Joao Felix each scoring twice, and Christopher Nkunku adding another. Despite this, Chelsea have struggled in the Premier League, earning just two points from their last four games, including a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. They now sit 10 points behind leaders Liverpool and could drop further if Newcastle, Manchester City, or Bournemouth perform well in the midweek fixtures.

Bournemouth also won 5-1 against West Brom in the FA Cup, extending their unbeaten run to nine matches. Their strong form continued with a 1-0 win over Everton, keeping them in the top seven of the Premier League. Bournemouth have not lost since November and have scored in every away game since. However, they’ve not beaten Chelsea in their last six meetings, including a 1-0 defeat in September.
