Liverpool can confirm their place in the Champions League round of 16 when they take on French side Lille at Anfield.

Liverpool were lucky to keep a clean sheet against Girona, facing eight shots inside the box and conceding nearly 1.25 xG. Despite this, they remain the only team in the Champions League with a perfect record in the group stage and boast the best defensive record, conceding just once.

Arne Slot's team have already qualified for the round of 16 and need just one more point to secure automatic qualification, even if they lose their remaining two games. 

In the Premier League, Liverpool are six points clear of second-placed Arsenal, following their 2-0 win over Brentford. Liverpool's recent form has been mixed, with two wins, two draws, and one loss in their last five matches, but they’ve been strong at home, winning nine of their last 10 at Anfield.

Lille, who edged Sturm Graz 3-2 in their last Champions League match, are third in Ligue 1 and unbeaten in their last five games in the competition. They’re on a 21-match unbeaten run in all competitions and have won two and drawn one of their last three away games.
