Unless PSV Eindhoven produce a historic comeback, Arsenal are poised to secure a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals after their last-16 second leg at home.

Arsenal’s 7-1 win in the first leg didn’t fully reflect the game, with PSV unlucky at times. However, the Gunners were clinical, scoring seven goals from eight shots on target. They now eye a quarter-final spot and could become the second English team to score 10 goals across a two-legged Champions League tie.  

Though Arsenal struggled in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United, their focus remains on securing a top-four finish in the Premier League.  

PSV, eliminated from the quarter-finals after last week’s defeat, did earn a 2-1 win over Heerenveen to end a three-game losing streak. They now look to end a 15-game away clean sheet drought in the Champions League, but Arsenal’s dominant form makes their task difficult.
