Relegation Showdown : Karagumruk Faces Antalyaspor in Pivotal Super Lig Finale!

Last Wednesday, Fatih Karagumruk suffered a 3-2 defeat to Trabzonspor in the Turkish Cup semi-final's first leg. However, they bounced back in the league, snapping a seven-game winless streak with a dramatic 2-1 win over relegated Istanbulspor. The match saw a flurry of late goals, with Karagumruk equalizing through Guven Yalcin a minute after conceding in the 85th, and Sofiane Feghouli sealing the win with a stoppage-time penalty.
Despite the victory, Karagumruk remains in the relegation zone, sitting 17th with 33 points from 33 games, just one point behind Gaziantep in 16th. They face Antalyaspor next at home, hoping to avert consecutive home defeats following a previous loss to Fenerbahce at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium. Their record against Antalyaspor is daunting, having not secured a win against them in league play since 1983.
On the other hand, Antalyaspor recently overcame Hatayspor 2-1, recovering from an early deficit with goals from Adam Buksa and Zymer Bytyqi, the latter scoring in stoppage time. Positioned ninth, they are aiming for a top-half finish but have struggled on the road, losing four of their last five away matches. A loss in Istanbul could lead to consecutive away defeats, a situation they've only found themselves in once this season.
